Come on in for summer reading!

Posted on

Summer reading programs are in full swing! The theme this year is “Build a Better World!” We have grab bags available for kids ages 0-12 so stop in today and register. The bags are full of activities and goodies to encourage reading during the summer so reading skills don’t slide when school is out.  When kids finish their reading log they can select prizes from the Library’s treasure box! June and July will bring great programs for all ages. Kids and toddlers will be invited to the Library for story time and craft activities; adults will benefit from Civics 101 programs presented by a local historian on the topics of the Electoral College and the presidency; teens have the opportunity to learn how to learn with our Academic Success program. Door prizes will be awarded during each program! And a perennial favorite in the summer is the Reading with the Rays program for kids. This reading incentive program offers prizes for hours spent reading with a different prize for each base reached and Rays tickets for reaching home plate!
