Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Invites Public to National Night Out in St. Pete Beach
St. Pete Beach— 7/14/2021 — The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office is hosting National Night Out at Horan Park in the City of St. Pete Beach on August 3, 2021, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The event held at 7701 Boca Ciega Drive, St. Pete Beach is free and open to the public. Attendees will enjoy interactive family-friendly activities, vehicle displays, and public safety information. Food will also be available.
National Night Out is a nationwide event that occurs in communities around the country on the first Tuesday night in August. The event aims at enhancing “the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.”
“This event is a great way to encourage positive interaction between community and law enforcement. Attendees will not only enjoy themselves but walk away with valuable safety information. It’s the kind of free event everyone can feel good about and children love because they get to see the technology used by the Sheriff’s Department and meet those who are protecting them,” said St. Pete Beach Mayor Al Johnson.
St. Pete Beach is one of two other locations in Pinellas County hosting the event that night. The other two are downtown Dunedin and Seminole City Park.
